Default should i rinse my chaetomorpha

so i have a 125g reef tank up an running for a little over a year now . in early december i notice a raise in nitrates up to 20ppm . whit alot of water changes i got it back down to zero. and it stayed down. i ran a test yesturday an seen it back up to 10ppm . should i rinse the cheatomorpha i have in the refugium. the fish i have in my tank are. two black clowns,a coral beauty,a purple fire fish, bi color blenny, orange spot goby, two cleaner shrimp,and a fire shrimp. any help will be great

So, its already in your system? In order for you to remove nutrients from the system at this point, you need to trim back the Chaeoto some. Thats how they get exported when you are using Chaeto.
