Default 2 clowns dead, just want to know what the disease is

Hello, I've had two clowns die from this disease in the past week. I have no idea what it is, so mostly I'm asking to find out how to treat it for next time. My parents got the clowns, and an anemone for me for my birthday, so we weren't prepared to quarantine them right away, so they went straight into the main tank for two days, when they showed up as ich.

We QT'd the fish as soon as it showed up, and treated them with cupramine. The ich went away on both clowns in 4 days, but while we were treating them for ich, the female clown came down with what looked like a white cottony growth.

A day later, the patch grew, and turned red underneath. We thought it was lymphocystis, and because everything said fish rarely died from it, and the ich was more important to kill at the time, we continued treating for ich.
Within two days, the growth took over her whole body, and ate a hole all the way through. This is much faster moving than the articles say lymphocystis moves.

I changed the water after the female clown died, to remove whatever disease it was that killed her. I stopped the ich treatment, to not stress the male clown. Two days ago, the same white cottony growth showed up on the male clown. It was on his nose, and body. It started to turn red, but it mostly covered his body in a pale, white patch. It looked like he was rotting alive. He did not make it. I'll try to load some pictures.
Thanks for any help!

i would say copper lvls were to high...ich is a very slow treatment..you need to start low in copper levels and go up..same goes for when your bringing them off the copper treatment..i lost a clown bringing him off the treatment to fast.
