Default Variegated Urchins on Sale

Our juvenile pincushion urchins are on sale today. We have a good color assortment, and the urchins are about the size of a golf ball. Pincushion urchins in general like to carry things around as camoflauge, and these small specimens of the Variegated Pincushion (Lytechinus variegates) are no exception. They grow fairly large and will require supplemental feedings in almost every tank at some point as they consume a good deal of algae.

Juvenile pincushion urchins can be useful to clear up nuisance complex macro algae, or severe hair algae out breaks in smaller or larger tanks. If kept in a smaller tank, arrangements should be made to find a fish store willing to accept them as a donation after they have done their work and are getting to big for the aquarium.

They are probably best suited for larger fish only with live rock tanks. (FOWLRs) You can find out more about our Juvenile Pincushion Urchins here.

They are only $1 each today, maximum of 2 per shipment.
