Mummichogs-breeding?
Hi all
I have a school of more or less 10 mummichog minnows in a 125gal. I have always noticed that some are plain tan/olive-green (what i assume are females) and some have a liitle bit of a blue glitter (what i assume are males). recently, one of them has developed extrme colors---dark overall color, large amount of blue glitter, and bright yellow edges to fins. it chases the females all the time. i wanted to know if this is breeding behavior. if it is, how do i know if they mated and laid eggs. thnx

I'm so sorry I haven't been on the forum in so long! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten this lovely website! I moved to a different county back in May 2011 and started high school in a totally different school district. So I'm still adjusting and studying hard, and don't presently have any aquariums. But once I do, I'll be right back on this forum! |
