Default Please Help

Can someone help me identify this thing on my live rock? It looks like ether a anemone or a zooanthid. Its brown with like 12 tentacles and its tentacles have strpies around each arm. ???

That is aiptasia you don't want that in your tank. Get some aiptasia-x and get them b4 they becomes a problem..

Can't see a Pic but if it is Aiptasia then prob best getting rid of it, some folks like them and they are pretty nice but they can get out of control, I have a few here but they still a little small when the grow a little bit they will be getting zapped ASAP.

cant see the pic but you can look up aptasia. I dont think they have stripes on them or tenticals but i havent seen every species.. they look more like an over grown feather duster at times. google it and see if it matches up. they can be horrible devils for your tank and get huge.

*with further investigation, it seems i was wrong about the stripes and tenticals*
