Freshwater Aquarium Photography This is the photography forum for the FW section. It's a dedicated forum to post pictures of some of the things in our tanks, pics of new additions, as well as for great information exchange, tips, tricks, and overall just discussing cameras and photography techniques of our tanks. Learn all about apertures, f-stops, ISOs, macro, flashes, white balance, and anything and everything else that drives us crazy to get a masterpiece shot. Feel free to show off your tanks in here, and plus its a great way for humble people to nonchalantly have their tanks nominated by the other members for Tank Of The Month. Don't be shy!

Yes for someone with a new camera and not a lot of knowledge about the thing this may be just the ticket. At least this one has an "aquarium" setting so I may be able to get a decent shot now. My first camera took fair pictures and the second one was a lot smarter than I was and took lousy pictures (I think it was the operator myself LOL) so I am looking forward to getting new shots as soon as I get oriented to this one.

I was getting really good with my point and shoot.

My wife and daughter really messed me up.
For my birthday they bought me a Nikon D40.
It has a 18mm x 55mm lens and a 55mm x 200mm lens.
I am soooo lost. I am watching some good DVD's that came with the kit.
It is giving me some ideas on shutter speeds and ISO and all the other language I don't understand.
If you see my pics just don't laugh.

Cichlidman.
