Hi all,
I am going to upgrade tanks from a 20 gal to a 40 gal and want to get a different substrate for the new tank, but am lost for ideas. I'd love to see what you guys have done with yours. What brings out the best colors in your fish and looks awesome? |

I think black is very nice. My substrate is covered with plants so there isnt much substrate to see.

This is Fluorite substrate. My plants are doing excellently in this stuff. It's expensive but worth the money for green, healthy plants. It also shows off my white betta and even my otocinclus cats very well. I will warn you though, you MUST wash it before you put it down, and it's a real pain in the tail to get all the sediment out. It takes a bazillion washes. |
