Default New Tank With Cichlids

Hi all

Here is a few pictures of my new tank ( Jewel 260 litre ), all fish are cichlids, a mixture :D, ( convicts, Firefish, Yellow Labs, aulonocara burgundy blue, ahali ( amazing blue ), Cynotilapia afra and some more...

( Sorry for some reason when i reduced the image sizes, they have gone blotchy )

Good job...
I might suggest doubling the rock, and adding either "lace rock" or stacked "lime rock"/ sand stone" and stack it. (depending on where you live go to a landscape supply company for much much better prices). This will help keep the higher ph needed for cichlids. Also expect the fish to do their own landscaping...

Hi

There isnt that many fish to be honest, about 20, i do have a second tank though 125 Litre jewel that holds the babies in one half and a few little ones in the other half.

lol, I guess the pic is old...I count 35+ in the top pic. I wasn't saying it was bad per se. Just saying it looked like a lot of fish. They must go through a lot of food?
