Default My 30 Gallon Planted

So I posted my "completed" 30-gallon a few months ago, and was ready to buy a new tank.
But I decided that instead of buying a new tank I would just go the next step with mine and put some plants in it.
I bought a 2x T5HO light and some plants, then some more plants later. I fumbled with a few steps, the first being way too much light without co2. I decided to just unscrew one of the T5 bulbs so I have around 1 watt/gallon. When I had both bulbs going I got a lot of hair algae. Since I cut it in half it's almost all gone. I also got some SAEs and they're helping out a lot.
The plants have been growing really well. I especially like the lilypad-like floaters. I totally forgot what they were called but they're sprouting to the top of the tank something fierce! I've had to cut a few back/down.

I also added an airstone and a little decoration. All plants are real.

So I guess I'm just looking for some tip/thoughts on the tank. Thank you in advance!

29 gallon
4 Harlequin Rasboras
4 Cardinal Tetras
3 Rummynose Tetras
2 Dwarf Gourami
2 Siamese Algae Eaters
3 Panda Cory
2 Kuhli Loaches
1 Rubberlip Pleco
1 Oto Catfish

Default Re: My 30 Gallon Planted

Tank looks nice. Only thing I might suggest is getting a plant with a little more color - not necessary though. There are some crypts that have a near red color that might do. The lotus plant that puts the runners to the top can be trained to not do that if you wanted. I have 3 planted side-by-side in one of my tanks and let it all grow as much as it wanted for about 2 months and then I clipped it all the way down by the substrate - every leaf. Now the leaves grow at a much slower rate and there hasn't been one hit the surface in over 3 months. Before, a sprout would hit the top in 3-4 days on a 125g tank.
