Nice set up! Are your Angels a breeding pair?

No they arent a breeding pair. I did have a pair for the gold marble male, but sadly she accidently died in the move (she hit her head on the side of the tank). I am currently looking at buying a female if i can find one. If not i'll just buy 6 new smaller angels and grow them out until one pairs up.

Aw! Sorry to hear she died! (How can you tell she hit her head on the side of the tank?) When I move, I'm planning on putting tank water in a bucket and putting the fish in that. Then putting the rest of the water in another bucket, so the tank is light enough to move, and I still have the 'cycled' water to put back into the tank when I get it to the new place. That's how my dad used to do it, so I hope it works.

I hope one of your new Angels pairs up with him. What about the silver Angel? Will one of the new ones be a mate for that one too?

I heard the crack and she had a mark on her head :(

The water holds no bacteria to really warrent keeping it, as long as you keep your substrate and filter damp, the bacteria will be fine for a move

Probably will pair up the two of them, i'm unsure what sex Castiel the silver is. It may even pair up with Zachriel (gold marble). Cas is still a bit young as yet though.

That's crazy! I didn't think a fish could hit the side of the tank that hard!

I hope you have good luck with pairing your fish up!

Nice piece of wood and good plant location. Never cared for strikingly white substrate. Looks like Winter in your tank, lol.

For sure way to tell is if they spawn but the females have a blunt vent tube and the males's vent tube comes to a point. My angels are always hanging their goodies out and none are breeders yet.

Nice scape with low tech plants, great use of the wood but the white sand was a mistake I made once, it turned brownish yellow fast.

Thanx guys

I am familiar with male/female differences The gold marble is definately male, the silver, too young to determine yet

Its actually not as stark white as it normally would be, i've added in a light tan heavier sand. I like it, makes the plants pop nicely. This setup originally had black gravel, the plant scape just didint look right as the lighting is very low on this tank, with the white sand it is brighter and looks nicer.
I've never had my sand turn brown/yellow....used it many times. If maintained well it should stay the correct colour. I remove waste and stir every few days. + it has MTS in residence which help keep it aerated

I will be looking at a nice school of cories for this tank, & possibly a good sized school of tiger barbs, still deciding on other fish types.
