Sounds like it's an algea bloom due to the plant food. It getting worse when adding phosphates makes me think so even more.

The fact that it goes away says your plants are wining the battle with the algea. Can't say what will help but I'm sure someone else will have some good input.

Thanks for the post!

Please allow me to ask a few questions in order to troubleshoot the issue further. Have you always used these products and they are just now starting to cause cloudiness when dosed together? How often do you dose the products? Exactly how much of the products are you dosing? What are your parameters (GH, KH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, etc)? Do you dose them at exactly the same time? What other chemicals do you add to your tank?

I do apologize for all of the questions, but it will help us to have as much information as possible about your tank. We can then try to figure out what may be going on and how to address the issue. Thank you and we look forward to your reply.

It sounds like a bacterial bloom. Do you ever add a bacterial supplement to your tank? What type of biological media are you running in your filter? Have you tried splitting up the dosing? Maybe dose one in the AM and one in the PM? Again, sorry for the questions, just trying to figure out what may be going on in the tank.

That's what I meant bacteria bloom, not alge.
