they eat algae and they just find food any leftovers on the substrate. or eat live plants i think. ive got 3 crystal cherry shrimps. i never feed them and they still alive.

I feed mine chunks of chopped up shrimp or scallops when I feed my nem. Nothing huge but it's big enough for him to carry off and eat for a few minutes. Looks so funny sometimes. It kicks it around like a soccer ball :P It also eats the brine shrimp or blood worms I feed my fish
