Question what is it, please

hello everyone I have just set up my first saltwater aquarium 2 days ago, it is 29 gallon and I have 30 lbs of living rock in it, today i noticed a strange thing growing on one of the rocks, it is a yellowish tube with a red bushy "bloom" that pops in and out, what is it and is it going to hurt anything?

Sounds like a normal feather duster worm. Good thing in the tank. No worries, if that is what it is. ID would be easier with a pic.
