Default Sand/subsrate

I've read a bunch of stuff online but I haven't found anything too helpful.

Is there a particular type of sand/subsrate that works best for certain types of saltwater aquariums: FOWLR, reef, and mixed.

Live Sand would be best for all involved. Aragonite Sand, for all. Crushed Coral for all.

some fish prefer diferent substrates as well. sharks and rays require sand as to not scratch them up, but wrasse since they sleep under the substrate prefer deep sand to dive into
