Default marine conditioners

i can not add a r/o d/i unit where i live and was doing some looking around online and found Chlorine and Heavy Metal Removers: Instant Ocean Marine Conditioner

has anyone used this with tap water with sucess buying water 40 miles away and transporting it gonna get expensive real fast

You can always hook a RO/DI to a kitchen or bath faucet with a faucet adapter that is not permanent so does no harm.

Conditioners really do not remove anything except chlorine, they bind some of the contaminants so they are not as bad but still present. To make it worse, when the contaminants are bound up its hard to test for them so is confusing.

RO/DI or distillation which is very expensive, are the only treatment methods to remove the total dissolved solids which are the contaminants of concern.

ok ty my main reason i cant is its my mother=inlaws house so looks like i'm sticking with freshwater tanks for awhile

A faucet adapter does not affect the use of the faucet if ou get a good one, they snap on and off easily.
