I have a quick question about my Magnum 350 pump I'm using for my daughters turtle tank. Its worked fine for over a year but yesterday I cleaned the tank and filter as usual and one of the flat rubber gaskets ( looks like a big rubber washer)that sits under the charcoal basket tore. Now the water only trickles out of the inlet. I swapped the torn gasket from the bottom to the top of the filter thinking maybe if I got a good seal down at the bottom it would help force the water up the tubing but......it did not help. My question is this. Is the torn gasket really my problem or did something else go wrong. It seems to me that the good seal at the bottom should have fixed my problem since the impellor area should be sealed tight. Any help you folks could give would be appreciated.
