Default 2 strong pumps blowing in tank? help?

i have a 55gal with 2 pumping blowing a combined 1100 gal an hour...how should i direct them?

easiest is to point them from the back bottom to the front top. Is this a sw aquarium though?

place the pumps on the bottom in the rear and aim it up...why?

it gets the water from the bottom where its least oxygenated, sends it to the top to mix and become oxygenated again then it comes back down. You could also have them at the top pointing to the surface and forward to premix then as it hits the glass, it gets sent down.
