I am using a 55g LED kit all in one set up. The dual hoods each contain a light kit with a total between the two of 84 White/6 Blue .11mW LEDs. Although nice lighting it is not nearly as bright as I had hoped especially since I have plants. No doubt the .11mW LEDs are on the low end of the scale for brightness and hence the value in $$. I know there are several marineland and other led set ups that are much briger and most of them including the LED single strip designed for over a glass top would be much brighter it would seem .....and only use a few LEDs to put out at least double the total lumens etc. Does anyone know if there may be anything that would fit this hood with brighter LED's? It's a double hood. I may just end up getting a glass top and the larger brighter LED strip that may be available from more of a less well known company to save some money. But
. just thought I would ask in case anyone has this same set up. Thanks!

Not that I know of. When it comes to LED fixtures, they'll all be custom for the most part, and many will also have some DIY aspects.
Good luck!
