Default Progress report

Hi All, wanted to give a progress report on my new 20 gal tall that I started on Jan 1. Planted using Flourite substrate, live plants wisteria x 2 bunches (3 stems floating), crypt wendtii x 3, sag (not sure which) x3, java fern x 3. Water pH is naturally about 8.2 as we are on limestone aquifer NW of Washington DC, it's well water. Used 'colonize' at start and on each 20% water change. Have housed 8 small tetras (farm raised, various spp) for 3 weeks. A few crypt leaves melted but have been replaced by twice as many.

This week (Mon) added 2 amano shrimp & 4 oto cats. Current water values 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 7ppm nitrates. Checking every other day. Everybody seems happy & vibrant. I'm holding my breath and enjoying the heck out of this project!!!
