Advisor says the tempature they need is 54-77. I keep my aquarium at 79-80. Do you think they will be fine?

Why do you keep the temp so high? I think they will be ok, but I also think you should drop it down a degree or 2.

I keep it that high because I have 2 Rams and 2 Albino Cory Cats.
I also have 6 Neon Tetras, but I think they adapt good to numerous temps. |

I have rams and Cory's, they are happy at 78. I also have neons but they adapt well to a wide range of parameters. Hopefully someone else will chime in, but I would drop the temp a couple of deg.
Just my opinion... |

My source says 75-82F. Not sure where the above info came from.

The temperature range depends who you ask. After googling a bit, I have seen answers that range from 72-82, 72-79, 68- 78, and you get the picture. Your platies should be fine at a temperature of 79-80 degrees.
