I live in the Caribbean and the temperature here rarely (as in almost never) goes below 70 degrees, even during "winter". I got my tank last saturday and filled it with water and since then the temperature has remained betwen 80 and 78 degrees. My tank came with a heater, but I'm afarid if I use it the water will get to warm. Should I just forget about using a heater?

FWIW I don't use heaters in air conditioned rooms.

I think you definately don't have too.
