So i have finally been able to put some fish in the my 35 gal tank. i have one livingstoni, yellow lab, 2 kennyis, and a yellow lab( yes i know some of these fish will be to big for a 35 gal but i plan on bumpin up to a 55 eventually). My question is one of the kennyis is the bully of the tank. it doesnt just tartget one fish it chases all of them relentlsly. will these eventually stop? or should i be worried about him getting more aggressive? he is the only fish that does this all the other fish are fine around each other. i do have the option to take him back to my lfs if need be. any help would be greatly appreciated!

If he's that aggressive toward all the fish, I'll bet he never calms down. He just doesn't sound like a people person.

with cichlids its better to slightly overstock the tank to help keep the aggro down but yes you definetly need to upgrade thier home somtime in the near future, but maybe you just got the one out of the bunch that doesnt play well with others

If the fish is yellow it is a male and if it is blue it is either a female or a juvenile male. Kenyi cichlids are about as nasty as fish get. If your not careful they'll wipe out your entire tank overnight. I know this because i had a spawning pair of kenyi's take out about half the population of my old 55 in a few days just so they could have adequate spawning room. The harassment of your other cichlids will never cease unless you get rid of the kenyi or devote an entire tank to him which is what i ended up doing.
