Okay, so today i went and obtained two long finned leopard danios... beautiful fish i might add, well, I have 5 zebras so i figured that they needed more friends, because they school. Yes, the leopards school with the danios, but one problem is they seem to be a little more active then my zebras... Also a little more nippy. So, I shut the light off to calm them down don't want to feed them yet till tomorrow when I can do a PWC right away after so no ammonia or nitrite spikes. What I wanna know is are they just getting used to the new fish: following them more (kinda chasing but to no avail) trying to school, and also getting close the sides of my zebras. Do you think they will level out after the establish a position in the school of danios?

It could be hard for anyone to say. You could be seeing things solely based off the size of your tank. What I mean is that fish can act out of character when in a confined tank. Add other fish and it changes....plant the tank and it changes.....and so on. I think you are also pretty well stocked at this point. Isn't your tank still cycling? Maybe someone else I was thinking.

Danios are high strung fish. They chase each other and nip each other... they get bored easily. Usually the larger the school, the less aggression you see. The problem is you have to be careful not to over stock the tank when trying to build a large school.
