Question moving fish

How do I move fish from one tank to another? I don't want to hurt them but they are getting too big for 10 gallons. what do I do?They are 3" but I think the net is too small!

A bigger net! Or you can drain enough water out and catch them by hand. What kind of fish are they?

let me tell you.. pre-internet era, when I was a kid..

I just use to take tap water, put an air stone in it, wait a day or two and move the fish into fresh un-cycle buckets and stuff..

they all survive, it was probably pretty stupid but this was like over 20 years ago..

if you're new tank is cycled, im sure you can cup them gently with your hand.. if you search on youtube, some guy pets and belly rubs his goldfish..

When I move bns, I always use my hands as they can get stuck in the net.
