it is about 1/8 of an inch across maybe a little less. It is located about half way up his body right behind the left pectoral fin. It grew in about 2 days then stopped and has been there for about 4 weeks unchanged. The scales still lay flat. The fish is about 3.5 inches long. We have had the fish since may.
