i have an eclipse 6 gallon aquarium by marienland and right now its housing other fish but once they get moved to other tanks and such i was thinking of getting a goldfish for it?
I know goldfish should have 10 gallon or more but would it be okay in the 6 gallon? eventually if i thought it looked too big for comfort i would move it to my 55 gallon tank...but thats a little crowded-ish right now so i dont want to do that right away. thanks fr the help

Sure, but definitely not for very long.. goldfish need 30 gallon minimum for 1 specimen IMO.

i agree, gold fish not only get big but put off a lot of ammonia so the more water there is the less they will spike the ammonia

goldfish can put out a lot of waste. Though i have never personally kept goldfish, it is generally advisable to put one in every 10 gallons, or the first in 30 gallons, and each additional goldfish should add 10 more gallons.
But to answer your question, yes, he should be fine in there, but not for too too long. I would try to put him into your 55g as soon as you can. ![]()
