Default Oceanic

Well, all the customer service hype about them is really true, & I got to experience it first hand myself.

I bought a 29G Biocube in January 2008. One of the hinges on the feeding door on the hood snapped in March 2009. The feeding door still worked, but was a little broken. I had to break down the tank late last year because I moved to the west side of the state.

Over the last couple of weeks, I decided I wanted to start up a FW tank with it, since having a reef in a 2nd floor apt would be a major pain, if you ask me.

So, I wanted to put the well known customer service to the test. I called them up, & told my situation with the feeding door.

No questions asked, no receipt neeed....they shipped me a brand new feeding door w/o charge. I received it in the mail today.

I really wish they made bigger tanks. Either way - it really is true. They rock big time!

Great experience, thanks for posting your review of oceanic. This will help others who are deciding what company to go with for a tank.

I can only hope. The small, plug-n-play Biocubes are the best tank teachers for aquarium noobs and/or for people getting back into the hobby after being out for a while, if you ask me. Not only do they teach you to stay on top of your params 24/7, but they're affordable & don't take up much room as well.

The old adage of: "get the biggest tank you can afford" is the biggest load of poop I've ever heard.

If a noob gets a 55G or larger tank to start:

What happens if they don't like aquarium keeping? They're then stuck with a good size tank they don't want, & wasted a bunch of money.

It really irks me when people give that advice.

I agree with this. I bought my son a biocube for his birthday. Since, I have had a couple of questions and emailed Oceanic. Their responses came like clockwork every 12-24hrs. When selecting this tank I had emailed a couple of other tank makers with questions, responses took days.

Oceanic rocks. hands down one of the best mainstream manufacturers to deal with.

I am opening a business and setting up accounts with these manufacturers for wholesale transactions then resale in the shop. Oceanic only requests at the most from me is pictures of defective merchandise, next day my replacements are delivered.
