Default Input wanted for: BJ Formosa-DX 48" with flip-top stand

I have a person selling one of these locally for $95 on craigslist. It is used and comes with "2 new bulbs". I haven't asked yet (planning to tonight) what kind of bulbs they are, but I am planning on using it for my new to me 75g freshwater aquarium that I am hoping to plant.

Does this sound like it would suit my needs?

Any particular reason I should hold out for a T5-HO setup that may come around on the used market for a similar price (if I can find one)?

Thanks in advance.

personally i would hold out for T5's. i think the increased output would be worth the wait in the long run. we run nothing but T5's at the LFS i work out. I also run T5's on my own tank. I absolutely love my T5 fixture, i talked to a guy who works with GE and learned that a T5 bulb is one of the best on the market as far as phase shift goes so i am ecstatic to see how mine are doing having not put new bulbs in the fixture yet.
