We grew some massive zuchinnis this year... Ragnarok is loving it. Do most plecos have a specific part they eat? Do all species eat only this part?

Wow, you're not kidding when you said massive. Maybe that's all he can eat at a time. The zuchinni slices I use are more like 1.5 inches in diameter and about 1/8 inch thick. I put in 2 pieces, 1 for the Common and 1 for the Bristlenose. When they're done all that's left is the rind.

This is the first time he has had such a large zuchinni! When they are normal sized he still east the center then leaves it.
How big are your plecos? I was a little unsure about how much to feed him, so I replace the zuchinni every day. I've been doing it for a year and a half now...I basically siphon zuchinni debris every night. The seeds drive me crazy. He gets Hikari wafers too, am I feeding him too much? He looks healthy.

I'd say he's about 7 inches or so.

My common is over 11 inches. My Bristlenose about 3.5 inches. I feed them zuchinni every other day and Hikari wafers every day an hour before lights out.
Normally I don't find any zuchinni debris, just the rinds. I only have one left now but when I use to have 7 Blue Gourami at least a couple of them like the seeds and would pick them out of the zuchinni. DLH |

So do I need to worry about overfeeding?

He really doesn't need more than once every couple of days since your feeding wafers also.
When I feed zuchinni I usually peel it and depending on how big it is I either cut in half or 3rds. by the next day there is nothing left.
