I have very little knowledge of plecos and I want to know the L number of this pleco I have.

Nice looking pleco! I would say it is an sp. pleco. Would probably grow to around 5". Hard to tell from the colors in you pic but it could be an L140 or L288.

Trouble is there are thousands!! There is a web site which explains them all.
