Any one have one? I am thinking about two for my 10 gal along with a5 whiteclouds. Does any one have any info on them?

I have several and most of them reach about 8 inches. In a 10 gal no more than one. They eat algae and love to linger in live plants.

theres no way i would ever put an 8" fish in a ten gallon..

I agree!
I might do two in a 29 gal and move the oto's into the ten gal...

But two in a ten gal is too much (even one would be borderline... )

One would be borderline, but they are a narrow fish that moves very little so would be content in a 10 gal with lots of plants, and that 8 inches is a very skinny fish.

I breed them in 10 gal tanks, but after eggs are laid I remove the female. I leave the male in with the eggs and fry and once they reach juvie stage I remove the little ones and put the female back in again.

I got one!

He is in the 10 gal for now, and is only about three inches. hes pretty small... He will once he reaches about 5 inches or so be swapped on up to the 20 gal, and up from there as he grows, and depending on how he is doing. hes a pretty laid back little guy still acclimating to the tank and spends most of his time hiding behind the heater (which makes me nervous...)

It's normal for them, They will hide most of the time and not move very much.

I'd consider 40 gals to be about the minimum for farowellas. IMO it's cruel to put a fish this long in such a small tank.
