how do you breed featherfin synodontis? has it been done in captivity? can you sex them? I have two and can get a third to breed if need be....

I have heard that they are very hard to breed in captivity. I haven't heard of anyone doing it.

The only time that featherfin synodontis have been breed in captivity has been with the use of hormone injections. Typically beyond the abilities of home enthusiasts.

A pond is still not the same as their own natural habitat. And even though they look grown, you don't know at what age they would become sexually mature.

Wasn't aware euptrus couldn't be bred in captivity....

Its not that they cant, its that it hasn't been done..... now my question is how do the stores get so many of them at the same size???

Fish farms have been able to breed them on a large scale, but not naturally. They use hormone therapy and artificial insemmination. You "could" do it at home, but most of us are not set up for that kind of project. Would be kind of cool as a high school/college science project.

HERPES - Me and my fren ordered pizza. I got mine piece and she got herpes. 2. WHEELCHAIR - We only have one enchalada left, but don't worry, wheelchair. 3. BRIEF - Maria fart in my car and it stinkie so bad I could not brief. (this is just a joke, no offense intended! enjoy)
