Default Peg

I have a new betta, well, new a few weeks ago. I call him Peg.

He instantly hid away when I put him in my 75 gallon tank. Other fish showed an interest in him so I figured the new friends would tell him about getting along in the tank. It was near lights-out, and the timer did it's duty.

The next day I could not find Peg. But the second day he came out at feeding, trying to sneak a bite. They brave little fellow that he is. You see I think the black shark, or the puffer, one of his new friends that followed him off into the murky darkness that first night, well, they took his money and clothes. And they took his beautiful flowing robe of fins. He had only enough fin left to barely get around!

I am glad to report that his fins are slowly growing back and that he now owns the tank, I mean owns it. Everyone stays out of his way! he zips the full length. He runs slaloms among the plants. He dashes to the top for air. He owns all 75 gallons of the tank.

And that is how my betta became to be named PEG!
