A Little help

Hi

this is my new betta, he was in my community tank, first 2 -3 days he was happy swimming around, his colours returned after the trip from the lfs. After the 3rd day he started hiding all the time not eating, so i made the choice to get a small QT tank i had a spare filter i was running in another tank put the water from the main tank and put him in, he has now lost his colour but seems happier in the QT tank back to swimming about flaring his fins etc, i have put some flake in but he spits it out (i did crush it to small bits so to fit in his mouth), i have some bloodworms frozen should i try these? could he be ill? what would be the next step?

Whats his setup like?Gallons,filter,plants,decor?He should eat the bloodworms,but just remember his stomach is about as big as his eye.Only give him a little,maybe a worm ot two.Look into pellets as well,flakes are not good for bettas.Check and see if he has spots,shine a flashlight and look for gold flecks.Whats the water temp?Keep him warm and add a little salt for him.

Thanks for the reply, this is where he was living taken yesterday.

i have moved him to the QT tank as he was constantly hiding for 3 days without eating to my knowledge, there are baby mollys in there so wether he had pick off one or two of those? i tried bloodworms and peas while he was in and didnt see him eating or even attempting to eat so i was worried.

I would like him to move back into there really its 125ltr there are platys, sissor tails and mollys with about 5-6 babies

and some bala sharks - soon to be moved on.

The QT tank is only 14 ltrs so its small but it will do for now until i try again in the big tank?, the only other i have is a 30ltr but it has 2 goldfish in it so its cold not ideal i feel!

ok to answer some of your questions

Water temp 28c, there is a decor with some holes in it, no gold flecks when i shined a torch at him, still his colour hasn't returned tho?
but he is eating and active.
