Default Specific Species Help

I'm currently running a 55 gallon N.W. Cichlid tank and have been trying to stock it with fish native to Guyana. I currently have some Silver Dollars, Glowlight and Serpae Tetras, and three Sevrums. I'd like to add some bottom feeders or scavengers but have had a hard time finding any that are native to Guyana locally. Any reccomendations?

Maybe this could help: Freshwater fish of Guyana

You might want to check up on your stocking levels. Sevrums and Silver dollars get big, I'm not sure if you are going to have room for more fish.

Thanks for the reply. I had seen this site before but it doesn't list the common name for the fish. The last time I asked a Petco employee for something like Bryconamericus hyphesson they gave me the dead eye. The silver dollars I have are about an inch and the sevrums are not much bigger. I anticipated them getting big but will probably trade them in if they get too large. Thanks again for the reply!

If you google the latin names you will find more info on the fish and find out their common names too but if you are looking for more unusual fish Petco probably won't be much help anyway. Hope you find what you are after.
