Default Shrimp?

Will rams, apistagramma and kribs eat shrimp? I wanted to add fresh water shrimp to the tank, but am not sure if they will be viewed as food to the fish.

Default Re: Shrimp?

Hi Lowkey485, yes the fish will eat the shrimp. Maybe if the shrimp are fully grown they may be left alone. But when you buy shrimp from us, or elsewhere the shrimp will in most cases still be small.

I addition, the shrimp will breed, but won't stand a chance with these fish in the tank.
Here are some types of fish that are OK with shrimp, but ideally a shrimp tank has no fish in it at all....

Maybe try some large ghost shrimp with plenty of hiding places.
