Red severum and oscar trying to breed!!!

Hi. I have a red severum that I've had since a baby for about 3 years. My Oscar is about 2 years old. They've always got along great. Yesterday, I noticed the Oscar dug a hole in the gravel in front of a rock, and they both started doing what I thought was a mating dance. They've also both gotten pretty agressive with the other fish in the tank. Today I see that the red severum is laying eggs. There is no chance they are fertile right? I have video, and will try to upload it.
