Default Pink convicts

I haven't posted anything in a while but recently had some success with my pair of convicts when the suprisingly laid eggs all over my new piece of driftwood several months ago. I was estatic with finding the eggs and got most of them to hatch. From reading how well most cichlid parents are I decided to leave the parents with the fry, and they've been in the same aquarium since. I was wondering when the fry can be be separated from the parents. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows about what a healthy fry should look like, since some of the fry have different shaped spines. Is that a deformity or is it a sex difference??
