Default Neon Jewel Stocking Question

I have a little 3 inch Neon Jewel Cichlid, and I was wondering what other kind of fish are compatible with Jewels. I have read that they are very aggressive, and that different species may be a problem because they may not get along. Am going to have to restrict the tank to all Jewels, and will they get along?

Can Convicts go with Jewels?

Just curious if anyone else has had experience with Jewels, and what kind of stocking experience you may have had.

Default Re: Neon Jewel Stocking Question

I had some a while ago and gave them back to the lfs because they attacked everything in the tank. tried them with cons, JDs and red devils, didnt work. tried them with africans didnt work. tried just jewels and they attacked each other. thats my experience, I have seen people keep them with SA cichlids and it worked so I dont think that helps but is my experience.
