Default How big a tank for Jack Dempseys?

I have a line on a 55 gallon tank set up. I was wondering if that would be big enough for a couple of JDs?
Thanks for the help!

IMO that should be fine, a friend of mine has one in his 55 along with about a dozen other fish and it is doing very well

Remember that Jack Dempseys are aggressive and territorial. If you put a pair in a 55 be sure to provide plenty of hiding spots. It would also probably be best to use a male and a female to avoid a bit of conflict.

Dempseys are also a bit on the messy side. Make sure you provide good filtration and frequent water changes.
