Default help please

I have a 55gallon tank. can you please identify my shark/catfish. and the other fish. i was told it was a texas something. Also i would appreciat any info on ways to improve my tank. The water is not as dirty as the pictures make it seem. lol

not sure on the cat though

Texas cichlid and I couldn't tell you what species of catfish though. Kinda looks like an irredesent shark(pangasius sp)

dont texas cichlids only have one spot on the body?

I don't think that is a Jack Dempsey. The Jack dempseys I have seen are dark almost black with blue spots.

when i bought it they said it was some sort of shark and a texas.

Texas generally have one prominent spot but can have other spots that are fainter on the body depending on their mood as well as a spot near the tail .

yes those are definetely a texas cichlid and a iridesent shark... the shark will get to be about 3 feet long! be ready...
