Default few pieces of scraps in the oscar tank

I recently did a water change, and syphoned most junk out of the tank and netted for about 30 mins, but I still see a few left over pieces, will this destroy my tanks balance? or am I just being overeactive, the water has been clear, fish is healthy etc. but i'm one of those perfecto people, i'm hoping it will break down properly, I have the right chemicals a good mechanical filter but need to get carbon/bio filtration soon. A catfish/loach would not help since it would just create more waste correct? only one Oscar in this tank. It has a sand bottom and some drift wood as I am converting to a biotope aquarium at some point, the gravel seemed to work better at hiding it I suppose?

Like uneaten food and detritus? As long as there's not an overwhelming amount, that should be fine. A little leftover food isn't going to kill your fish. I have noticed that some of my uneaten food gets some kind of mold (?) on it if it's completely untouched, so I net that out, but that's more my own vanity than for the fishes' health. So unless your nitrates/ammonia start spiking because of it, I wouldn't worry.

fsxnate don't worry that much. Aquarium doesn't have to be sterile .
