Default Dwarf Curviceps cichlid

I got a curviceps cichlid and it's kinda not doing so well.. it comes up to feed sometimes but other than that it's just like my plecos. Staying down at the bottom of the tank where my plants are.

I don't know what is wrong? I've been doing water changes every day. using RO and/or sometimes treated tap water. My water is fairly hard, but it softens after in my tank because my tank has a WHOLE lot more soft water in the tank than hard water. i don't know what to do. he is still alive and nothing bad happened. No fishes pick on him.

Please help

Default Re: Dwarf Curviceps cichlid

you should check the fishes gills if they're rich with blood meanning the gills are a good shade of red like the color of good meat if so they are healty in that part.you also should research the hardness of all you're fishes and find an equilibrium to make sure that you're fish arent getting robbed of ther body salt.if you dont find the equilibrium the surounding slat will build up in the kidneys leading to damage and malfunction...
this is just me saying.
