So im trying to decide between the two and i have some questions. First off, would two male firemouths or convicts be able to live together? Or two females. I am going to order them online and they cannot guarantee them being male or female. Same thing for convicts. Also would i be able to keep one of each? Is there a reputable online store i can use? I have a 35 gallon tank. Would this be sufficient for a green terror? I have kept many cichlids before and i can keep it very clean. Any other advice about this would be helpful. THank you!

speaking for myself I would mix them for variety. In my experience you can keep them together, however with fm's they always seemed to fight with each other when I had more than one, but they never went at the cons, jd's, or anything else. I never kept a green terror but I believe that they would get too big for that tank and was always warned of the aggression as they matured. just my opinions on my exp.

Well im trying to decide between getting one or the other. Would two male convicts fight if they were kept in the same tank with no female. What about two females? What if i got three, and i got two males and one female. Would this create problems?

I have 3 convict males that have been together for about 3 years with no major issues, just make sure there are ample hiding places and things in the tank to break up the line of sight.
