Default Red slime

I noticed a red slime on the side of the tank. is it the good bacteria I need? or should I scrub the tank and change water?

also I did put some starter fish in the tank, hopefully I can get the cycles right.

actually it's more of a rust color

to be honest I am not 100% sure but I do know that green algae will turn red when stressed
with un favorable water conditions for the algae.

I would just use a cleaning pad to clean the glass. Then do a 25% WC right after to get rid of some of the algae
that is suspend in the water.
Doing a complete break down of your system and then having to go and do another cycle is a bit extreme.

Sounds like diatom algae. Normal in a new tank. Just scrub it off. Let the tank cycle before you do anything drastic.

I'm going with the nuclear option, I got 4 UV lights and I strapped them to the tank.

the tank looks eerie now
