The tank in question is ten gallons. It has some moneywart plants and something they called an onion. I don't really know. It has a fake bonsai tree and a fake log, two filters one is Aquaeon and the other is TopFin. There's also an air rock and a heater. The thermometer is on the opposite end of the tank and reads 78 degrees Fahrenheit. The tank has three neon tetras and a creamcicle lyre tail molly. There's also a snail, but I'm not entirely convinced the presence of the snail is making the difference here.
There were two mollies in the tank, once upon a time ago, but one died. It was slow and I tried a couple treatments hoping one would work with little success. What I remember of the early stages is he would sit in the top back corner and sort of lay on the plants there. I thought he ate, but I might have been mistaken. As time passed he would, every once in a while, jump out of the water, and dash around the tank before going back to his little corner. More time passes, and he looks like he's kind of wasted away. There was this little bulge at the base of his pelvic fin and he just looked skinny. At this point I think I tried using an all cure or general cure on the tank, but when that didn't seem to be doing anything, I stopped. I think I kept at it for two treatments or so. Eventually he downgraded to lying around on the gravel and only moving once in a while if there was food, and I think I remember thinking that looked difficult. Before he died he got this little red spot on his gill cover. It was only on one side if I recall properly. Not surprisingly he went down the porcelain express not long after that happened. I cleaned the tank as well as I felt comfortable with, and figured it was all fine and dandy. Not long ago, there was a small fungal infection going around where the still living molly got a little spot of white slime right where the end of the pectoral fin touches the body and the neon tetras had a spot of fin rot. I treated that with some antifungal thing and the tetras seem fine, but the molly has started doing the same things the other one did where she'll sit in the top back corner of the tank and freak out darting around. Another small thing that I'm not sure if I should make note of, but her irises are almost completely black. They were less black, but last I looked they seemed to just be covered in little black blotches. They're not raised or anything like that, just pigmented. She looks kind of dirty, actually. It's kind of weird. So. Hopefully that's enough to come up with some sort of plan. I'm kind of at a loss at what to do...

What is your water like? Mollies need very hard water, or you will see fungus and lethargy like that. Neons like soft water, so you have a bit of a compatibility problem there.
