Default on my way new 90 gallon reef( I have questions) please help!!

I am on my way with my new 90 gallon tank. Sump is built, got my new led lights ( blue line 120 watt) supposed to be equivalent light to a 250 watt MH, 3 inches of agornite sand (120 pounds). the protein skimmer i bought is good for 180 gallons.

Here is where I am having trouble. I bought 100 pounds of base rock. From most of my reading, it looks like you need about 2 pounds of rock per gallon of water.

I was going to add 60 pounds of live rock, I am happy with the way the tank looks now, I feel if I add another 60 pounds of live rock the aquarium will be too full.

Don't I need to leave some space for fish to swim?

the base rock I bought is very porous so mabey it is larger for its weight since it has so many holes??

All the Live Rock is your filter, if you do not use enough, your water quality will be compromised. Throw the rest in your sump.
