Default Water temp for Discus and Plecostemus

I have two Discus fish with water temp at 88*.

30 gallon tank with Fluval 250 canister pump and UV light.

Recently the small Plecostemus died and I was wondering if the water temp was too high for it. The water quality is very good and well maintained. The Plecostemus only lasted a month and a half.

What algae eaters will do good in a high temp environment? Thank you

It was a Clown Pleco which I fed flake food and from your link the temp should be up to 82*.

So, I guess 88* is too hot for the pleco.

temperature is possiblity but flake food isnt an adequate diet for it either.. you'd need to throw in some algae flakes and others too..
