19 discus in total, 20 in the video, 7 second mark, round brown discus near sword passed, severely stunted on arrival in march I let him stick around because of his demeanor and dominance(yes he used to knock the big blue diamond male around and fight for top discus)

Planted scapes arent natural to a discus, alot of wood and sand is. Keep that in mind as well.
I had a 90g new world tank about 20 years ago, nothing but rock and wood and it was nice, a 90g is a good sized tank and doesnt take much to plant it out. thank you for the compliments. here is the other half of the tank I forgot to post |

Love the setup.
I noticed you made a cover to go over your sump. Does it alleviate the issue of ourgassing your CO2 with wet/dry filters? Mine tends to outgas nearly completely, but it is still all open. I need to work on something like that and see you didn't completely cover. If I could get away with what you've done that would sure make it easier. |

No its a dust cover because its under the stairs.
I have zero problem maintaining 28ppm Co2 in the tank. Its mostly dissolved if not all dissolved once it leaves the reactor that is plumbed into the closed eheim. I used the plexi from the tek light to make the top and some corner protectors from home depot cut to side, ge-1'd on and 24 hours later its set to use. |

Man if my wife wouldn't kill me for it I'd LOVE to upgrade my tank to a 200gallon or more. My current setup is 125gallon, and it's probably overstocked as it is. So many nice discus strains available that I always finding myself wanting more.

Im trying to find a way to replace my wife's 8' long couch with a 300g tank, I dont think she is as dumb as I believe her to be though, my luck she would notice when she sat down and got wet lol.
I found the tank on craigslist of all places, sad part was I only got to bring the tank home not the 55g sump nor the stand. which I paid for I just left them with him to sell or use. your 125 is awesome, I really like it. I am trying to order stunted discus so I can rear them myself just to overcome the shortfall. |

I'm ALWAYS surfing Phoenix Craigslist for the unbeatable deal on a larger tank. I've found a few over the past year that I was SO close to pursuing, but I keep holding out.
Partly because I cringe at the work that would be involved in transferring all my stock and plants to a larger tank. And partly because I value my life. ![]() |
