Default Blood Parrots

Does anyone have any thoughts on these fish? I have 2 of them. One of them is very friendly and loves to cruise the front of the tank. The other one hides all the time!

Cute. Sterile. Passive.

I researched them a little cause someone around here had some for sale and I was thinking about getting them. The are a lab made species and because of this most males are sterile. Some aquarists think they should be banned as they are two breed put together basically. They come in very few colors 'naturally' I think yellow and orange mostly. Some were dyed with other colors to change their color. Suppose to be very docile as far as Cichlids go. That's about it. Please note that I don't and have not as of yet owned any and all my information about them is second hand info so take it for what its worth.

Thank you! I did some research as well and learned the same thing. I now have 3 of them and they are so fun to watch. I will post pictures soon. They have very distinct personalities for sure!
